Beautiful watercolor of home life in Chiangmai, Thailand, by artist P. Sukhya, signed and dated (1993) in lower left border. This watercolor is 5.5 x 6 inches, with a home scene featuring two thatched roof houses, a central wagon wheel, a wagon with yellow grain, a woman in a red blouse feeding a rooster, a fire ablaze, and those beautiful trees/palm fronds. I love the blue of the mountains against the brown paper sky. Striking! The frame is original, and is in fair condition. The mat surround is blue silk, with one edging that is not 100% covered by the frame (see photo), and one rogue thread (see photo). The artist shares their name and address on the back. Total size is 8.5 x 9 inches. A touch of Thailand!
