Originally inspired by the novels of science fiction master Frederick Pohl, Heechees have become the calling card of Vitrix Glass Studios. This piece is an early example of a Heechee sculpture, signed by the artist Thomas Buechner, III and dated 1991.

Unlike more recent iterations of Heechees, this unique piece is made of completely clear glass and the wraps are folded right over on to themselves.

This one-of-a-kind piece is in excellent condition, with no significant scratches or other flaws and will be a beautiful addition to any glass-art lovers' collection.

The sculpture measures 5.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide at its widest, and it weighs 2 lbs.
